Course overview

This course has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and information they require to understand and manage diabetes.  This session will guide learners as to how to support both individuals with diabetes and staff members who they may have responsibility for supervising their practice.  
It looks at how to support individuals receiving this support both directly and autonomously, empowering individuals to gain positive outcomes to prevent complications.  Attendance to this course will benefit anyone who is responsible for supporting individuals with diabetes in all Health and Social Care settings to contribute to personalised action plans.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Monitoring equipment, role play, group discussions, small group activities and DVD clips.
