This course has been developed to provide all learners with an understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2005. It will explore ways in which practice could impact on individuals being supported on a day to day basis and how the implementation of the Act may change current practice. Attendance at a Mental Capacity Act course is required prior to this session.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:

What happens if someone thinks a person is being deprived of their liberty without authorisation?
