Course overview

This course has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to promote positive behaviour and respond appropriately to incidences of what is seen as challenging behaviour. The course will also look into the main forms of mental health problems and explore the impact of mental health on behaviour. Learners will think about how individuals can be supported and how positive behaviour, mental health and wellbeing can be promoted. 
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Case studies, group discussions, small group activities and DVD clips.
