Course overview

This course has been developed to provide staff with the knowledge and information required to be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of a stroke. Learners will gain a basic understanding of the types and causes of stroke and an insight into stroke prevention. All levels of staff and managers in a variety of settings that support and provide care for individuals who have had a stroke, or might be at increased risk of having a stroke, will benefit from attendance at this course.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Case studies, factsheets, group discussions and small group activities
