Mental Capacity Act (MCA) – Awareness
This course has been developed as a refresher for learners who have already completed a full day of MCA and DoLS training, or for those that need an introduction. It will provide learners with an understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and explores how this will support them to support decisions made by Service Users on a day to day basis. This course is aimed at all staff working within Health and Social Care services.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Scenarios, Case studies, group discussions, small group activities and DVD clips.

The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2009
And the following QCF unit:
Contribute to Support of Positive Risk-Taking for Individuals
