This qualification is aimed at learners who work in various health and social care and children and young people’s services in a variety of roles such as; Managers, Senior care/support workers, Team Leaders and Co-ordinators.
The mandatory units for this qualification include:

Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the safeguarding of children and young people
Lead and manage group living for children
Lead and manage a team within a health and social care or children and young people's setting
Develop professional supervision practice in health and social care or children and young people's settings
Lead practice in promoting the well-being and resilience of children and young people
Undertake a research project within services for health and social care or children and young people

Learners will be required to complete a workbook to evidence their knowledge for each unit.
Performance also runs through the qualification and therefore observation of practice will be carried out in the work place.
Learners will also need to produce self-reflective accounts, take part in professional discussions and provide a range of work products.
The workbooks will be assessed by a member of the Unique Training Solutions team and will go through the UTS quality assurance process.
All of the assessment criteria must be met for all of the units to achieve the full qualification.
