Course overview

This course has been developed for Heads of services to improve their knowledge, skills and expertise in respect of safe recruitment, supervision and management of staff who work with adults at risk. Heads of services will be able to explore their responsibilities within their organisations at all levels and will be able to demonstrate full commitment to Safeguarding Adults at Risk. Through the course Heads of services will explore that they have appropriate systems and resources to support their work in an intra and inter agency context.
Learners will be supported to explore and discuss how prevention, multi-agency working, the legal framework and national and local developments impact on safeguarding for adults.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Role plays, case studies, group discussions and small group activities
