This course has been developed to provide Managers with the knowledge required to implement The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
This will support them to inform and involve staff, to support the individuals they work with to make decisions about their lives. This course will explore how to assess capacity and complete the required documentation ensuring that they are working within the requirements of the law.
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Assessing Capacity documentation, scenarios, group discussions, small group activities and roleplay.
