This course has been developed for learners to gain an understanding of how to use principles and standards in their everyday work. The course aims to provide healthcare staff with an introduction to general data protection regulation including the principles of confidentiality, data protection, subject access requests and the freedom of information requests and the caldicott principles.  
Learners will gain the knowledge to implement into practice and understand the guidance on how they need to work in their setting. 

This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Data protection principles, activities and scenarios and group discussion.
