Course overview

This course has been developed to increase awareness of fire safety at work. Attendees will get the opportunity to discuss the fire safety concerns they have with regards to the individual environments in which they work.
Learners will gain an understanding of the fire triangle, the different classifications of fire, their own responsibilities, and the responsibilities of others, relating to fire safety, the use of risk assessments in relation to Health and Safety and their own contribution to the risk assessment process. 
This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
Fire safety signs, group discussions, risk assessment templates, small group activities and DVD clips.
This course has been developed and mapped to:
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 
The Government guidance – Fire safety risk assessment: Residential care Premises
The Care Certificate – Standard 13 – Health and Safety
