Course overview

This workshop has been developed to support leaders and senior managers to enhance their understanding of how to achieve an outstanding service and to work with CQC through their inspection. Managers will be challenged within the workshop to analyse their performance against quality within their service and areas that they will need to improve on, to achieve an outstanding rating. Managers will be able to investigate and review action plans that they have in place and analyse how they are going to achieve these improvements. Learners will be able to look at their inspection report to move the service forward with clear context of quality assurance.
Managers will be able to support services through their inspections and have the confidence to positively challenge the inspector when they believe they have the required evidence to show within their inspection. Learners will leave the workshop with the required knowledge to manage quality assurance systems in their own work setting, and to produce an effective action plan with clear end results.

This course is delivered using a range of methods and resources including:
CQC guidelines, Key Lines of Enquiries, case studies, group discussions and small group activities.
Local Authority monitoring forms, inspection reports, group discussions, small group activities and workbooks.
